Admissions Advocate was founded by Kathy Vogdes, an attorney with more than 25 years of professional experience and a parent who understands firsthand how complex and stressful the college admissions process can feel for families.

Kathy works closely with students to develop thoughtful, strategic applications that highlight who they are and what they have to offer. Her approach focuses on helping students identify colleges that are the best fit academically, socially, and financially, while guiding them through each step of the admissions process with clarity and confidence.

One of Kathy’s greatest strengths is her ability to meet students where they are. Whether a student is just beginning to explore college options or preparing final applications, she helps them build strong applications that reflect their authentic interests, achievements, and goals.

Through her work with Admissions Advocate, as well as advising students through national test preparation organizations and nonprofit college access programs, Kathy has helped dozens of students gain admission to a wide range of highly selective universities, flagship public institutions, and strong regional colleges across the country.

Her goal is simple: to help every student find the college where they can thrive.
